What is Global Recycling Standards Certification (GRS) – GRS certification is an industry-leading standard that empowers consumers to make sustainable choices. It provides visibility into the recycling process of products, ensuring every stage upholds strict environmental and social principles for a more responsible future.
GRS meets the highest standards for sustainable global production, ensuring that all products made with at least 20% recycled materials are processed ethically and responsibly. This includes third-party certification of recycled content, chain of custody processes to guarantee traceability from source material through to the finished product; as well as social and environmental practices in compliance with chemical restrictions.
Ecohound bags contain 50% PCR, going above and beyond the minimum recycled material requirements.
Ecohound bags contain 25% OCEANEX
Make sustainability part of your pet’s everyday routine! Our new dog waste bags feature Oceanex, an amazing resin supplement made with sustainably sourced oyster shells. With the help of millions of tons of previously wasted oyster shells, they have developed an environmentally responsible and GMO-free high polymer replacement. OCEANEX is then supplied as a compounded masterbatch pellet which is added to our HDPE Ecohound waste bags during the manufacturing process. We are able to achieve up to 25% high polymer replacement with OCEANEX.
